About Eatables

Aloha and welcome!
Eatables is the personal food blog of Delilah Hinman. On here, I share and compile the recipes I’ve tried and tested among my family and friends. Most of the recipes are pulled from other sources (cookbooks, magazines, and old family recipes) and tweaked to my own personal tastes. Feel free to try out the recipes yourself with your own tweaks and let me know if the comments what you thought. Everything here on Eatables is a work in progress with constantly updated recipes. Keep checking back for new and updated recipes!

How we got started
As with most of my web ventures, Eatables was started on a whim one cold winter day inDelilah Hinman December 2006. Being a newlywed and finally having kitchen to call my own, I decided to venture into my wedding gift cookbooks and try out this crazy hobby of cooking.

Once I started cooking for myself (and my husband), I realized I actually enjoyed it and wanted a way to easily catalogue these recipes, thus Eatables was born. It started out with just basic postings of recipes, but then family and friends found out. They wanted to contribute (and by contribute, I mean eat free, homecooked meals, heh), and in exchange I solicit their advice and ideas. And so now here we are, posting more recipes and now you have opportunity to share your own advice and ideas; comment away!
